Yo! it's almost time to go...
Let's go back and remember what we did today..
Gotta love us some YGG!! Anyway, here are some of the latest projects I've been working on... it's a 4x4 block for all the seasons, Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter, so you just turn it when the season changes... and true to form, it's unfinished... :)

We celebrated Dr. Seuss' Big Day by dying our scrambled eggs green and since then we've tried all sorts of colors. This day was rainbow-colored... we did lime green for St. Pat's.

I've been working on my food storage and trying things I've never heard of before... This is canned butter. super easy... It's a 4 oz jar so we can use it as a spread, It doesn't need to be cold and lasts almost 2 years! ...The birds in the back are a project from the summer I did with Teri B...
Here's what I tried today: Cheese Sauce! -- like cheese whiz. It took a bit more time, but I have enough for mac and cheese, nachos, tater tot casserole, etc.... lasts 2 years...
I've also learned you can pressure can your milk, and hard cheese (it starts mild and turns sharp as it sits in the can)... interesting, huh?!! Oh, and you can freeze eggs!... another day soon!...

A Giveaway from me!!!!!

I've cleared the comments and the first 5 to comment on my blog and follow the directions will be getting a giveaway from me. Here's the fineprint...
The first 5 people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:
1- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
2- What I create will be just for you.
3- It will be done sometime this year.
4- You will have no clue what it's going to be. It may be a story. It may be an article on properly cleaning your face before a masque, or tips on how to clean out your closets. I may sew or paint something. I may bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
5- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange.
The catch? Oh, the catch is that you must post this on your blog and offer the same to the first 5 people who follow the directions.
Oh, and be sure to post a picture of what you win when you get it!

By Request
PS: don't mind the table in the background... we haven't found a place to store it yet, but it will be my craft table eventually! NICE!
PPS: Gepetto is still alive and kickin'... somehow... he has a swim defect now. He swims vertical (Head Up) and only in a clockwise direction... maybe we should change his name to Nemo.

The end of our dear Gepetto
Gepetto has been with us since we started Dental School, so we are going on 4 years now... how did this fish live so long?! We have NO idea! He has been left for weeks at a time without being fed, in a cold house all winter, and somehow, he hasn't keeled over! So, I was cleaning out his bowl yesterday, which consists of dumping out half the water and adding new water, then dumping out half the water again and adding new water... so you can understand even more clearly why we are amazed he has lived so long! He must have a great immune system!
Anyway, as I first started dumping water, the bowl just collapsed in my hands... I have no idea how it happened, but I have cuts all over my fingers, hands, and wrists from all the glass. Poor Gepetto was lying there on a glass shard with little slivers of glass all over him... I scooped him up and put him in an empty hot cocoa mug (something I drink EVERY day) in the other side of my sink and added some water. I got the glass all cleaned up and dumped G in a big vase I have, pictured above. SO, he's actually still alive, but he's acting like this is the end. I'm sure he has glass all through his little body, but Jace is so sad, he wants to keep him till we're sure he's dead. The poor little guy, he barely moves, isn't eating, and he's more vertical in the tank than horizontal! I just don't have the heart to flush the little thing till he's belly up. Yuck! We haven't decided if we will replace him yet, but you never know, maybe this little fish is immortal!
Here are a few pics for Dad to see the tricks my kids are up to. They love pushing eachother around on this bike... It's like the bane of our existence. The kids fight over this toy like no other! They *love* this thing!
Here's Jace doing his amazing handstand! I'm mostly amazed we could get footage, the way our camera botches everything up! Don't mind the kids' awful hair, I KNOW they need haircuts, but it won't happen till next week! This last one is of the kids acting like Cacti. They were posing like robots and then decided 'it would be awesome to look like a cactus!' Enjoy!
