Our House

Our house was in bad need of some organization, so here's the start of our latest family project... we added two new bookcases and moved the house around a little bit. Then we added a magnet for holding our knives instead of the ugly block we had out on the counter.

Last, we organized the drawer that had everything in it, from silverware to camping gear, ugh! So it's a bit less unsightly, but there's still a long way to go!

Plans for this week

Today I'm looking up different cities in CO, checking school ratings and population counts... sounds boring, but it's a big important deal to me... Tuesday we are maybe going to the Nature and Science Museum. Wednesday is our playgroup and then we are prolly gonna head down to Colo. Springs to check out the area and Cameron will go to the Freak Festival at AirForce vs. BYU. (Maybe I'm the only one who thinks the BYU basketball team is silly looking...)

On Thursday we are doing nothing... at least for now. Same as Friday except maybe we'll have a rip-roaring party or something else really spontaneous. Saturday will be a cleaning day I'm sure, and Sunday will be totally kick-back as always.

What a cute little man!! He is loved and will be missed. Think of the great welcome he had in Heaven with Heavenly Father and his wife and family! What a great man!

Baking Pride

It has been a weekend full of surprises... I have been craving home-made rolls for like a week, but anyone who knows me, knows that me + baking = failure. I've never been good at any kind of baking, but I'm proud to show you my hand-made deliciousness! If you think they look good, you should taste them!! YUM!

SO tonight I'm going to once again try to tackle home-made chocolate chip cookies! They have been a disaster from the beginning, but wish me luck!

Love Letters

So here's the project from craft group. I thought it needed something so I added my own little Michelle-touches. Sewing, paper-tearing, ribbons, heart is chipboard covered in paper. Fun, fun!!

Trying out a picture.....

Ok, here's the project I have been working on for the last day or so. It was a quick project. I got the idea off of Etsy (best website ever) and it's called a pillow dress. Very basic form. Easy, easy! You can't really tell, but there is some detailing on the stitching at the bottom. When Camper is bigger, she can wear this little dress as a top! Am I awesome or what?!!

Ta-da! A new post!

Ok, so it's been a bit since my last (or first) post... but like all new things I try out, I take a bit to warm up to it, and eventually get bored.  So maybe this will last a while.  Maybe not.   Anyway, I got a new motherboard thing for my computer so it should be easier to use the computer and get some cool things done.  I'll have pictures posted soon!  Right now I'm really into my sewing machine, we sort of have a love/hate relationship, so right now it's definitely love!  So when I get some stuff done, I'll post it up!  Loves,

Joining the ranks

Alright, after seeing so many other blogs, I've decided to join the party and start one for our family! I was trying to think of something clever or witty to post, but, since I've been a mom for almost 4 years now, my brain seems to have shut down... I'll keep working on it!
So, our family is doing well! Little Campbell is almost 5 months now and Jace is almost 4! We have about 1.5 years left of school, then it's of to a new adventure and some income! We are enjoying our time in Denver and hope to stay close by. More to come soon!
